AI that evaluates what you do—not just what you watch
Viewing time is a poor signal of capability. GuruOne’s planned AI layer is being designed to read the work itself—code, assignments, structure and approach—with a human always in the loop.

AI that evaluates what you do—not just what you watch
For a long time, the metric of learning platforms was engagement: minutes watched, courses started, streaks maintained. Those numbers are easy to collect and easy to inflate. They tell us very little about capability.
A different question
What if the platform asked a different question: given a task, what did the learner actually produce, and how good was it?
That is the question GuruOne’s AI assessment layer is being designed to answer. Not with a single score, but with a set of signals that together describe applied capability.
The signals we care about
- Correctness: does the work solve the problem it was given?
- Structure: is the work organised the way a professional would organise it?
- Style: is it readable and maintainable?
- Approach: does the learner think about the problem in a defensible way?
- Growth: is the learner getting better over time on the same class of problems?
AI empowers the educator. It does not replace the educator.
Human oversight is non-negotiable
Every AI signal in GuruOne is being designed to be reviewable by the educator. The educator remains the source of truth on their courses and their learners. AI is there to scale the educator’s attention, not to overrule it.
AI Assessment is labelled PLANNED. Adaptive questioning, assignment analysis, technical and style evaluation, AutoGrader and mastery tracking are all in active design. Launch scope will be announced when the first cohorts open.
